Got any questions you'd like me to ask any of these authors specifically? What are they?

Are you kidding me?? That author list is SO impressive. Hopefully the new school won't block blogger so I can check things out! :o)
Haven't checked out the interview yet, I got distracted by the guest blogger author list!
'mornin, Rach! Buongiorno, Bellas! Rach, always workin the angles at school. :)
The interviews I mentioned all will be on LifetimeTV.com, so if you have internet access -- and can give the kids some sharp objects to entertain themselves with for a while -- you'll be able to watch in relative peace. :)
Doh! Duh, of *COURSE* they'll be on Lifetime.com. :rach smacks her forehead:
Know where I can procure said sharp objects? I'm moving from second to fifth grade and I have a feeling I'm gonna need 'em. ;oP
Wow, this is all so exciting!!!
Am zipping over to LiftimeTV.com right now to take a look!
And yikes, all those names are so awesome... they're like romance goddesses. Although I know Jaid is human because I met her once at the London Book Fair and she was really nice. :)
Michelle - One more time, I'm SO proud of you Bella. You really have come a long way, baby!
The list is incredibly impressive. Let's see, you KNOW I have questions!
1- I guess you don't want to ask JR Ward about Butch's package. ;o) So, how 'bout if you ask who comes after Phury's book, LOVER ENSHRINED? Also a Tohr check wouldn't be amiss from my POV.
2- For Lisa K. will you ask her something about Hardy's book? Maybe a little of who the heroine is? Also, ask if she'll write the book in first person again.
3- For Suz, will you ask her when for the love of all that is good in this world, when we're going to see Decker and Sophia's book?? And also what the response from the gay community has been to Jules' story?
4- Any chance you're going to see Nalini Singh at the conference? Yet again I say, you really should at least if you get a chance, talk to her. I believe she's cooking up a new para series about angels (which is at least a new species to para, I think). I'd love to hear more about that.
I guess that's it for now. I'm a greedy Bella, I know.
Thanks for asking!
PS - Stay cool Bellas, DC has a heat index over 100 degrees today. It's move from hot to dayum hot!
Same temps down here, MK. I keep thinkin' I feel so sorry for all the folks down here on vacation!
I tried to register as a LifetimeTV member but it wouldn't let me 'cos I live in little ol' Blighty. :(
Have sent them an email to say there are non US Bellas wanting to sign up!
Well that's a little discriminatory, don't you think, Portia? Let us know what happens.
Mornin', Bellas!!
Michelle, you never cease to amaze me. I don't know how you do it. I'm just really glad that you do. :o)
I'll have to think about the questions. That is quite a line up. YAY, YOU!!!
MK, so unlike you to have something on your mind, especially about Nalini Singh. I have her new one in my garage. That's not a bad thing, it just means I've got a bunch of organizing to do.
And thanks for the weather report. Maybe you should be our RBTB Weather Bella.
I'm so glad you wrote, Portia. That's something I'm sure we hadn't thought of, that we've got Bellas from all over the world whom I want (hope) will join me there.
When the move is official, they're creating a special link for Bellas to sign up to comment and for the RBTB e-newsletter.
You don't have to sign up to watch vids, do you?
Um, rach, you're a nice girl. But never feel sorry for folks on vacation. They're on VACATION! And we're not. There. I think I've let off a little "my kids are driving me nuts and choose to be the loudest when I'm on a business call" frustration. Thanks for that, Rach.
Wow! Michelle you blew me away with that impressive list of authors to interview. All fabulous.
I too am so excited about your move to LT. It says so much about your integrity and well, that you are really cute and look good on camera!!
smooches!!
OMIGOD!!! YOU are FAB with the divine Ms. C! Dahlink! Let me say it here for the whole world to see...remember me when the talk show is a weekly deal! I just intend to dance around you and say "I told you so, I told you so."
It was a fabulous interview. You do camera well. Not everyone does, and your upcoming list of authors is phenom!!!
Big Hugs on this wonderful achievement.
Monica
I tried to watch the videos, but all that played was advertisements for breakfast cereals and stuff. :(
I'm using Firefox. I'll go back and try in IE instead.
MK, so unlike you to have something on your mind, especially about Nalini Singh. I have her new one in my garage.
I know, I know, I'm a like a freakin' broken record. But I just know you'll love her if you read her (riiight Jules?). But I get that you're really busy what with the move and all, so giver that I am, feel free to send that new book on to me, and I'll read it and let you know all about it. See? Always giving, never taking, that's me.
Seriously though, it's a wonderful lineup and we're all very proud of you. Will the new site be like blogger in that you'll post something and we'll comment on it? Or will it be bulletin boards? What's the plan, stan?
Bellas, I've finally taken the hint and am reading Marsha Canham. At some point I picked up The Iron Rose a long time ago, but never could get into it. So now I'm reading THE BLOOD OF ROSES, which even though it's a sequel, I'm getting into. She does have amazing historical accuracy doesn't she? Is she still writing?
Also, Vivi, did I read somewhere that you're working on a book about faeries? Or did I dream that? Cause I wanted to know whether that would impact Necropolis...
Michelle, have you heard from Ames? Is she doing OK?
Sorry for the stream of consciousness...
MK
Hi MK!
I am working on a faery book, but it's completely separate from Necropolis. It's an urban fantasy
I also have an angel book out and about, and am hoping, praying, that it gets picked up soon.
You know I'm behind ya, MK. :o)
It's always good to get a second opinion in all things. Especially a new NS book. S'all I'm sayin'... ;p
Nope, no joy in IE either. I click on the various Jackie links, and I get an advert for cereals or photo services. I wonder if it's because I'm connecting from outside the US? I had this problem at a site for LOCI... Instead of the episode clip, I got an advert for some product or other.
Maybe because I can't watch the network, I'm not allowed to see the clips? Sigh... I hope this doesn't mean I won't be able to participate fully after the move? Sob...
Alert: You're about to read a phrase few people have been able to uter per WendyPortia, at least not for a very long time...
Ah, Portia, my innocent girl. Welcome to the world of ad-supported Internet content.
That means you have to sit through 15 or 30 seconds of commercials before you can watch the vids. I apologize, but think of it as helping me buy my children -- and other LifetimeTV.com employees -- new shoes at back-to-school time.
Forgive me?
Thanks so much, Jules. You always make me feel good about myself.
Oh, and ames is doing well, just has had some stuff going on that's kept her crazy busy. I saw her the other day. We laughed, cause at one point I was standing on the front porch, lamenting to her something we're sure was never before uttered by anyone in this particular neighborhood in MN before: "But, what are we going to do with the erotica?"
We were sorting books.
Squee! Yay! Vivi, I can't wait to read the faery book! I figured it wouldn't be part of Necropolis, but more wanted to be sure it wouldn't impact the releases of the Necropolis stories, since, ya know, I'm greedy and all.
Portia - Yes, we all hate ad supported content. It's a pain in the tookus, especially since you can't fast forward to it. But, if it supports Michelle, we've all got to get through it, I guess. And like Michelle says, it keeps her in high-heels (flip-flops?!).
Mon, thanks so much! You know, I just wanna keep *this* job, but if you see me going further, that's cool, too. :)
Vivs, thanks for the smooches and the thoughts. I like the idea of having integrity. It can be frustrating to deal with, but it's cool that you feel it's there. When's the next Necropolis book due? Will I get an advance?
MK, trying to woo me to Singh by telling me you're reading one of my heroes, Marsha Canham? The Culloden series is frikkin monumental. She's classic and brilliant, especially if you like Romance for Nerds. She would be my ultimate dream interview, but she hasn't written in a few years, and i can't seem to hook up w/her. I should go back to it soon.
You know, I really will read Singh, I'm just so bogged w/what I have to read right now. Maybe I';ll take a little break from things this afternoon with the new one.
Oh! I started Sherrilyn Kenyon's "Devil May Cry" last night! Very goooood. The last DH before Ash's story next year, I think. God, I can't wait for that one...
Do they make high-heeled flip=flops MK? Since I've been wearing the same shorts and Red Sox T for 3 days, I'm a little short on the fashion sense at the moment...
I'll try again... But last time, I just got ads but no content after them... nothing... nada... niente...
I was expecting the interviews after the ads. I've encountered that before, but this time, there was no content at all. :(
Would that be because I'm not able to register?
Portia, I'm having the same issues...
I do believe its' because we're outside the US. I'm in Canada, and I can't get them to play. At one point a pop up popped up saying I couldnt' access the site because I was outside the US.
I really hope that wont' interfere with participating in the new blog and stuff like that.
And, yes OF COURSE you'll get an advanced copy of DARK LIES Michelle. It's out in October, so I'll hopefully have my author copies end of August to send to you.
MK, trying to woo me to Singh by telling me you're reading one of my heroes, Marsha Canham?
Yes, I'll stoop to anything to get my way. LOL!
Do they make high-heeled flip=flops MK? Since I've been wearing the same shorts and Red Sox T for 3 days, I'm a little short on the fashion sense at the moment...
It's all glamor with you, Michelle, ain't it? Course, I'm always the picture of loveliness (NOT!). I don't know if they make high heeled flippies, but I'll tell ya, I'd like to kiss on the mouth the genius that came up with the Teva flipflop. They're the most comfortable things EVAR!
I am hearing that the new Singh is the best of the three, so sounds like you'll have good luck, if you do get to read it. I just entered a contest on her blog to receive an ARC. We'll see what happens.
Oh Vivi, thanks for letting me know that it isn't just me! I *thought* it was probably something to do with being outside the US... because of my experience at one or two other US video streaming sites.
It won't be the end of the world if I can't watch vids... But I do hope they adjust the login to allow ex US folk to register and take part in content like blogs or boards.
RBTB has become like a home to me!
Portia and Vivi, I was just going to tell Michelle I was now *really* worried about this move is our out-of-the-US Bellas can't be a part of the fun. Seriously, this is BAD news! Please check into this, Michelle!
Oh. My. Gosh! The videos are just way cool and you, Miss Bella, are gorgeous. You hold your own with Miss C.
I'm just so excited to be able to say I know you -- and I knew you when.
Shorts and t-shirt -- that's my uniform. I've been shopping for Dallas for a week now. And I found the greatest little black Jones New York dress on a clearance rack. It's sexy and sassy and SO NOT ME, but I'm gonna wear it anyway.
Marilyn
You go, Marilyn!!! :o)
Fairy books. Angel books. Psy and Changeling books. Oy, what a year!! :oD
(not to mention the vamps, rakes, and everything else that goes bump and grind in the night)
OK. Here's what I just heard from my very nice editor, LifetimeTV.com's Editorial Director, Rachel Cohen.
Yes, dear, sweet Portia and our friends from around the globe like nairobityp0, et al, *will* be able to access blog and site. Not broadband, however
I'm thinkin, like who was saying it? We could do a Y2 load, right? I have to do the MySpace thing anywayz, so. Oh, no, now I gotta go hunt down one of these nice, smart young people from LifetimeTV.com to teach me how to do the easy stuff. How humiliating.
Cool! Thanks for checking Michelle. I was starting to get a little worried I was going to miss all my Bellas.
Hi Michelle
Thanks for looking into that for us furriners!
Not broadband? I connect to the internet by broadband... I wonder what they mean by that? Maybe it's the high res video we won't be able to get... no probs with that though, I've always been a low life anyway... LOL!
oh, my Gawd, Pawshya! Yer startun to talk like one of us. You're right, they mean the tool that supports the broadband "streaming" video. And if you've been a low-life, you're among friends, though I'll only speak for myself...
The interview was Awesome Michelle! I can't wait for the move and more videos of our favorite authors.
Oh, thank goodness, Michelle! I would miss them all so much otherwise!
The interview was *incredible*. Who's the diva? ;o)
Wow that list of Authors is awesome! I can’t wait to see the interviews. And your interview with Jackie Collins' was great!
So when you do the move over to lifetime I’m curious will it still be an everyday blog? Or will it be different? I was really sad when Squawk Radio closed its doors but then I found RBtheBook and found another amazing community (I’m starting to feel like the plague, every time I show up people start closing their doors).
I’m bummed that I can’t go to the RWA national conference this year but I will so be there next year since it’s in S.F. and only a 45 min. drive away.
Thanks ever so much for clarifying, Michelle... I can live without the streaming vid as long as I can take part in any blogs and boards or other community stuff at the new site! :)
I am breathing a sigh of relief now... and smiling!
Hi, Leann! Thanks very much, although I don't know what Rach is talking about; I don't think I'm all that much of a diva, darling, do you? I haven't changed one little bit. Now if my kids would just remember, shaved ice in the Perrier and NO WIRE HANGERS!
ahem. Oh. You were talking about Miss Jackie. [blushes, but does so prettily, and like a debutant]
I'll be at my blog at LifetimeTV.com every day, hopefully, for a very long time. I really hope it'll become a home for readers who've lost their favorite blogging places, too. And the neat thing is that the Bellas are always so happy to welcome new cyber-faces, often with an icy cyberita and a bucket of Krispy Kremes. :)
Cripes, Portia, I was sweatin it earlier, thinkin I wasn't going to get to see so many of my favorite Bellas every day.
Grazie, kelly! Now if I could just finish up coming up with great questions to ask them. What do you think of, "if you were a scoop of ice cream, what flavor would you be?" Too personal?
No probs, Vivs. We would totally be diminished w/out your dose of hawtness. Who else would intro the Lifetime online audience to sammiches?
Hey Michelle - and Bellas.
It's travel season again up here in the north and I've been gone tha past week again. I missed so much I see, but WHAT A TREAT TO COME BACK TO!!!
Michelle, it's probl'y a little gauche to play the "I knew you when" card - but I've watched this career of yours soar from the littlest of seeds. I am so very very proud of you - and pleased with what you've accomplished.
The JC interview was great - not your typical questions; a lot of good "meat" for us to enjoy. I'm sending the link around our Alaska loops up here - just to brag on ya, cuz I'm so darn proud. I wish you so much luck with all your plans at RWA National.
Maybe we'll have a little time to hook up and say 'hi'? (Any other bellas gonna be there too?)
CONGRATS AGAIN!!
Well... I just got the following from LifetimeTV.com
Dear User,
Only those living in the United States of America can register. Thank you for your interest in our website!
Best Regards,
Lifetimetv.com
It's not very nice of them to exclude the rest of the world, is it? I'm just hoping that the sign up for your blog is completely separate to the main LTTV setup...
Ooo, Portia. I didn't feel the love from that. From what Rachel Cohen said, the new blog tool will allow furrin viewers to sign on to the site and blog.
One of the issues is that Lifetime Networks are only available in the States. They've got those 90 mill cable viewers. Maybe setting up the new site so it's accessible means they'll go global? Or more likely, the smarty pants Inet guys at the top realize the Inet is a global prospect for women.
We chicks rock in both hemispheres!
The LifetimeTV.com you're seeing today is still all the old technology. Part of the relaunch is lots of spiffy new fancy schmancy digital stuff.
Michelle, as long as I can hang on the blog, I'm a happy bunny! :)
In spite of these little scares, I'm really, really looking forward to seeing the spiffing new blog!
Fabulous lineup, QB! I'm beyond impressed. I just hope I'll be able to join in the fun with everyone else - dang those restricting employers! Kleypas and Brockmann are my all-time faves, so I am swooning in awe.
- Will Lisa be writing about any more pirates? I just loved Justin Vallerand as "the Griffin" and would like to see more wild and intense heroes.
- For Suz, I want to know if she'll be bringing back more Wildcard, like she does with Sam and Alyssa from time to time. I miss Wildcard a lot. Is she planning on writing anything other than SEALs (not that I want her to!)?
Now I have to go check out the intervew...
Oh, LOL Michelle! :o)
Please talk with the folks at Lifetime--I'll be devastated without Portia, Vivi, Nairobi, etc. :o( Portia's little message was not so nice and has me a little worried. But hey, when I'm not being Pollyanna, I'm a worry wart. :oP
I am one of those poor people on vacation!! Jersey is hot but I am spending it in the water! Unfortunately, the storms hit home and the power is off. Hope it comes back on soon.
The lineup is fantastic!! I am looking forward to them. It makes the move much easier to endure.
Puter useage is sporadic. Hope to see everyone soon!
Michelle, GREAT interview. You are awesome. You give me inspiration! Live your dreams and reach for the stars. I am so proud of you!!!!!
XOXO
Carly
Author questions:
Other than themselves, what author would they stand in a long line for to get their book?
What author turns them into fangrls?
What's the craziest thing a fan has done to get their book signed?
Who's the most surprising person who has come up to them at a book signing?
Oooh, me likey the quextions Jules.
I would really like to know when Stephanie Laurens is going to do Dalziel's story.
*keeping fingers crossed it will be soon*
Wow what a cool list of authors! One day I hope to be up there with them! (book sales-wise)
Great interview. I love Jackie Collins!
You guys kill me--so funny.
So fun to read the last few blogs and all your comments.
I see school is out and Rach is back to play. Yay!
MK, thanks for asking after me. So. Many. Things. Things I don't even want to talk about for fear they will attract other like things.
It's all good--or will be at any rate.
And seriously, what are we going to do with all the erotica, Michelle?
I have stinky dial-up, yes, the last survivor of the stone age, so I'm afraid to even click on the videos of your interview Michelle, but I shall try. Wish me well.
AMES!!! Yay!!! Sorry life has sucked, but glad to see you! I came back and you were gone. I thought I had run you off :oP.
AMY!!! Missed ya! I hope life settles down a bit for you. :o)
Ames! I'm so glad you checked in! I've really missed you. Hope like is back on track, Bella. We've missed you so! Here's to a trouble-free summer for all of us!
Ehem...or LIFE is back on track.
Jeez.
LOL! Michelle, you crack me up. How aboutsomething different that they wouldn't normally hear in an interview. I don't know say.....
"What is the current ringtone on your cell phone?" or "What do you do to get yourself out of a writing slump? When you are just staring at a blank screen with no words written yet?"
See this is why you are doing the interviews and not me. I would have no freakin clue what to ask. LOL!
Bellas are the greatest--thanks guys. Oh and Rach, as if. Jules, I could use some boredom, we're going to the pool today for some r&r. MK--actually I do hope "like" is back on track too, as well as life. Why did I let life keep me away?
Kelly--I like your questions.
Michelle--I have to go to the library to see the videos. Damn you dial-up.
:Rach, feeling lost and alone bellows out: "Where is everybody? Hello? Hello? Michelle?"
I'm here! I keep popping in to see what's happening, in between bouts of writing... :)
It's slow going at the old word mill today, like trying to swim through treacle. I predict lots of editing and polishing on this sucka...
yay! Hi Portia! :o)
Sorry it's slow going, but hey, it *is* Friday so maybe your brain is trying to tell you it's the weekend :oP. Good luck and may wildly incredible prose come pouring forth :o).
Hey, Rach! You're probably right... I should chill out for the w/e and let my brain rest. ;)
But I so wanted to hit the 40K mark by the end of the month... and tomorrow is the 30th!
I don't think I told you guys this story. While I was in Atlanta earlier in the month, they put me in this fancy-schmancy suite for the time that I was there.
I worked until about 9:00 that night. So when I got back to the room, I ordered a salad and a glass of wine, and clicked on the TV to surf around. So there I am clicking along...click...click...click...
*wait -- what was that??* I go back to the channel, and what am I looking at??? Gay porn. Oh yeah. Right there on my TV.
Here's what MK learned about gay porn (cause you better believe that I watched a good 3-4 minutes of it):
1- No need to bother with plot. Just get right down to the good (dirty) stuff. The episode that I watched involved a guy in his office (which had a big fish tank), then the guy who services his fish tank comes in, and he's hot, soooo, you know. Then the 1st guy's assistant comes in and gets into the act.
2- Porn stars have great physiques. But gay porn starts are just gorgeous. And yes, I'm talking about their faces.
3- It was kind of hot.
I'm a dirty, dirty girl, I know. LOL!
LOL, MK. Of *course* they're hot! Now see, that's just the kind of story I was hoping for as I sat here all alone. ;oP
(I would have been hard pressed to turn it off too, lol!)
Portia, how far away from 40K are you?
I would have liked to have seen that vid, MaryKate! Something about hot guys getting it on... oh yeah! And esp. if they are pretty too... mmm... mmm... mmm...
I've about 1K to do, Rach. So I might be able to hit my target tomorrow. :)
It's a big 'story' bit though... not rampant rumpo. Which makes a change for me! LOL!
Portia, you'll be able to make it tomorrow, no problema! :o) But, what is this no rumpo thing of which you speak? Is this the *real* Portia with whom I'm corresponding?? ;oP
Where is Michelle?? I sent her an email yesterday and haven't heard from here. I thought her munchkins were at camp this week. Maybe she and Dave are enjoying some well deserved together time...
Rach- How's Han feeling? Better? Didja see a plastic surgeon yet, or will it not need surgery?
LOL MK! That’s a great story! Wow this sucks I never have any good stories to tell. I think someday I might just make something up to see what other peoples reactions would be. At least I know that I have an interesting imagination ;o)
Han's doin' much MUCH better and is in fact driving me crazy, Diva Queen that she is ;o). The top wound is nearly healed and the bottom one still has an area of hardness around it. We're keeping the thing gobbed with Neosporin/Polysporin.
My mil got us the number for her plastic surgeon (whom it turns out was consulted by our pediatrician when we first went in) and I'll be calling him Monday. He wants to see her cheek before it completely heals. We will also be using Mederma, a combo of peanut/olive oil and vitamin E.
Yes folks, welcome to my summer. :eye roll:
And now aren't you so glad you asked? ;o)
No I AM glad I asked. I had to go to your blog and read the whole thing. It sounds utterly harrowing for all of you. I'm so sorry you had to go through that.
Good luck with the lil' Diva. Sounds like a girl after my own heart!
BTW, if you check my blog you can see an updated pic of her face. :o)
Funny, we just cross posted. :oP
Yeah, I updated the pix last night because everyone kept asking.
Seriously, thanks bunches for asking. It was HELL while we were in the middle of it, that's for sure.
Rach - Her face looks much, much better. Also, your hair looks awesome! I wish mine would curl that prettily. Instead, mine just kind of frizzes. Especially in the summer time. I'm in "all-pony, all-the-time" mode now. I can't wait for it to get cold and dry so I can actually straighten my hair again.
MK, I'm using this stuff called Jessicurl. You can check it out at jessicurl.com.
Once I had the girls straightening was no longer an option--I had them and my hair went curly crazy! This is without a doubt the best product line I have ever used! You should check it out. Seriously. :o)
um, hi, bellas. [sneaking in] I was sick the last day and a half and couldn't even get to the laptop. I just kinda nested on the little couch in my office and slept/shivered/sweated/feavered.
But I'm back now, and, oh, my goodness, it's like you've given me a get well gift,
The gift of gay porn.
You guys are making me tear up. It's just [sniff, sniff] so beautiful]
Heeeeeck yea, there are few things sexier than 2 (or more) beautiful sexy men havin at it. There. I've said it. Often, I find myself doing research for this very blog, and stumble across a gay site (or 2 or 3) and feel I must stay and observe to note subjects of vast importance I might report on to you.
Like MK, I, too, am a giver.
Ooooh, Michelle, nothin' worse than being horribly ill in the summer. I'm SO sorry.
And yet, you find the time to sacrifice your innocence for us when finding the snaxy men. You and MK are two of the most generous people I know :oP.
Feel better soon! {{{{{HUGS}}}}}
Michelle, I actually said to my Conference Services Manager for the hotel (who happens to be a gay man), "You know, most hotels send wine, you guys send gay porn. Interesting amenity." LOL! He was horrified, and yet deeply grateful that it was me, and not somebody really conservative in the suite that night. SNORT.
Do feel better, Bella. Nothin' worse than feeling like death on a triscut when it's 10,000 degrees outside.
Oh dear, I'm so sorry you've been poorly, Michelle! I hope you feel better soon...
Was it migraine again? Or a virus of some kind?
If I wasn't stuck in the middle of paranormal hell, with a randy, disembodied sorceress who's trying to steal both my heroine's bloke *and* her body, I would try and write a little manlove scene to cheer you up!
Did you ever see the boysnog between Vincenzo and Thomas Jane in The Velocity of Gary? It's not a full on shag, but it's one of the horniest things I've ever seen!
See, Portia, this is why i love you ;o). You are such a giver, lol! :o)
