Single Point Of Entry & Romance Redux

Beginning February 2 has a new home at two single point-of-entry URLs:

You'll no longer have to dig through pages of stinky local, national, and world news to find RBtheBook. Now, romance is the story of the day!

I'll keep you posted on more info about our re-launch festivities. And I hope you'll keep reading.
I'm re-reading Jenna Petersen's "Desire Never Dies" in preparation for the feature I'm writing about it this week. I'm also getting a jump on things, starting Samantha James' "The Secret Passion of Simon Blackwell," and Bethany True's debut, "Remember the Alimony."

James' has sturm und drang lite, a nifty little unwanted marriage due to ruin, and a admirable heroine proud of her Scots roots -- and the florid vocab she learned from her two older bros.

I just started "Alimony," and am LingOL already. Plus, the heroine's a former Miss Texas. What's not to like?

What are you re-reading this weekend?
What are you reading?
What's the romance news of the day you've been thinking about?
Encore! Grazie Sara Dennis for visiting yesterday! You really got us going, talking about two of our faves: TV and hot, wet guys. Or is that three things? Please let us know how your FOX-TV deal goes, and when we can watch your writing on TV. And we look forward to seeing you regularly here, Bella. :)
Encore due! billie, you've won the copy of Dr. Linda Seger's "Creating Unforgettable Characters," courtesy of Sara! Email me your snail mail @ ! Felicitazione! And thank you to everyone who joined us this past week to learn more about Avon FanLit!

I'm reading A Vow to Keep by Cara Colter. Only through the prologue so I can't say much, but I've loved her books in the past.

On deadline so no re-reading or much thinking (unless it's about hottie hero) allowed.

My re-read is the book I'm currently editing. "Blind Date" by Selena Kitt (available in Feb at StarDust Press).

My new read is "The Earl of Her Dreams" by Anne Mallory. Only about 3 chapters in, but I like what I've read so far. I've enjoyed Anne's books in the past, so I'm expecting good things.

I am reading an anthology called Just One Sip with Katie MacAlister, Jennifer Ashley and Minda Webber. I am also reading the reprint of A Date With The Other Side by Erin McCarthy.

Just got these in the mail, I'm reading Honor's Splendour by Julie Garwood, Devil's Bride by Stephanie Laurens and Wilde Thing by Janelle Dennison. Hopefully it will tie me over till SEP's and Lisa Kleypas new books come out!

congrats Billie. Love the covers of those books. I just finished a book and haven't been able to make up my mind which book to start on next - so many choices lol.

Cryna--just one sip is in my TBR pile. Katie MacAlister always makes me laugh.

I'm reading The Becoming--d'oh, and I'm at work, so I don't have it right here, can't remember who it's by--but it is soooo good. Paranormal, pretty sure it is the start of a series. Love those series.

Michelle, I usually have two or three books going at once also.

Oh yeah, Carol, can't wait for SEP's and Lisa Kleypas's either.

Can you say baited breath.

I had such a good time here yesterday, I'll definitely be back. I made Bella status already? Woohoo! :)

I'm currently reading Devotion Calls. It's Caridad Piniero's newest Nocturne.

I'm almost through with The Devil Wears Prada byLauren Weisberger. Picked this out of my TBR pile. I have the movie on dvd but wanted to read the book before watching it. I'll probably start reading Dean Koontz's Brother Odd next. Have to get my pile down.

I'm reading Linda Howard's 'Drop Dead Gorgeous' and hugging my advance copy of Virgin BL "Sex in Public' which arrived today with my short story in it!

Cryna- I have that book sitting here in my tbr pile too!! have you read Katie's Men in Kilts? I don't think I have laughed so hard in years when I read that.Of course, it just may have been me. ;)

I just finished reading all 3 of Dixie Cash's books. I loved them and can't wait for the next one.

Now I have to check the library pile for the next read. Today was grocery day, so that is hours in the shopping and putting away. I didn't dare pick up a new book until I was done.

Hey, everybody! Looks like everybody's doing some good reading this weekend. I should be writing to finish up everything before our trip, but you know how I operate, um, as my son't teacher once put it, 'by the seat of [my] pants.' As it were.

Oh, Rach, I love the Slightly series. Wulfric's story's my fave. He's just so tightly wound.

Are you digging SfH? I really liked it. If you haven't, Bellas, it's Jeffreis, Carlyle, London, and Newbie, Rennee Bernard en anthology. Really enjoyed it. And Bernard's a freelancer for RT, too.

I've got the Virgin S & S, Kate, and I'm gonna read your story since you reminded me... :)

ev, "Men in Kilts?" Fill us in. I can't remember if I've read it. I remember a funny "Kilts" series, but you know I'm not good w/ remembering names unless they;re in front of me.

carol, I think you're gonna love both LK's and SEPs new ones. I think I'm writing an SEP feature on "Natural Born Charmer" for RBtheBook in two weeks. And there's a feature of Lisa K's "Sugar Daddy" at

I'm also reading MJ Davidson's "Doing it Right."

Hi Bellas! I've been at the parentals' this weekend, just got home. Have to get ready for the "Bring the Bitchy to the Red Carpet" party tomorrow night. Can't wait for the Globes!

Rach! I saw the Monet show this weekend. It was spectacular! Picked up a couple of prints and the program book. It's a really, really wonderful retrospective of his work. Anyone who lives near Cleveland, which is where the show heads after this weekend, I can't recommend it enough.

I'm reading two books this weekend, both new to me, first is Karen Marie Moning's DarkFever, which I'm thoroughly enjoying. I'm also reading Harmony's Way by Lora Leigh. It's getting hard to turn pages with the pot holders I have to wear! This book is smokin'!

Anyway, glad to be home, hope all is well with everyone. Sorry I mostly missed the fun this past week.

Michelle - Phenominal news about the site! I'm thrilled for you!

ev said...

Marilyn- it looks like you guys had a wonderful time!! Just don't let DHtS get a big head. (pun intended) (maybe)

Michelle- Now I will have to go and find the dang book cause I seldom remember names either.

Rach said...

The SfH is great, Michelle! I really like Jeffries' work a lot. I'm also into kilts, Ev, fill us in!

MK, I'm SO glad you got to the Monets. =) Wasn't it fabulous?? The Monkey really enjoyed, and she's only five! I particularly loved the large waterlilies one at the end of the tour. You always see the ones he does in the pastels, but I've never seen that one with its vibrancy of color! Oh, if you Bellas have a chance, go see this show. It is *wonderful*!

When I worked in London at the Inland Revenue public enquiries office and got shouted at all day, I used to take my lunch and go and sit in the National Gallery in the Monet room where they had several of the huge Water lily pictures on 4 walls. I'd just sit there and chill...

Rach said...

Sounds loverly, Kate =). Very soothing after being shouted at...

I had to post just so I can BRAG, he-he-he (remember if you try to throw anything at me, it will only ruin your monitor...)

I'm finishing up Susan Grant's YOUR PLANET OR MINE? because on deck I have 2 ARCs........... SEP's NATURAL BORN CHARMER and Ward's LOVER REVEALED..... now the hard part is: WHICH ONE SHOULD I READ FIRST???
