In the spirit of keeping my New Year's Rezzie to you, my Bellas:

and Wet

Say buongiorno to Aussie rules footballer, Campbell Brown, and Leslie Kwok, Singaporean national swimmer/businessman.

Prego, prego. You're welcome. There'll be more where that came from in 2007, if it kills me. Cause I'm here for you, my Bellas.

Dang, the post isn't up yet. I'll be back later today, since I guess I have to go to work to support my book habit.

Ooooh, I love HOT, and WET. Yep, two of my fave words.

OMG! OMG! OMG! Merry Christmas to me. Yummmmmmmm

Thank you Michelle!

Kati said...

I thought I was a giver, but Michelle, you're a BIG OLD GIVER!

Yummy, almost as good as Krispy Kremes for breakfast! Good Bless the Queen!

Julie in Ohio said...

Did someone say Krispy Kremes?!?!

Michelle-- I'm not worthy...
All hail the Queen!!!

These men definitely live up to the word "snaxy". WOW!!

Rach said...

Michelle, I realize how difficult it must be for you to put yourself to all the trouble of finding hot, wet guys for us. Thank you for searing your eyes with these images so that we may enjoy. ;o)

Okay, off to the Raleigh museum of art to see a traveling Monet exhibit. Ya'll have fun with the hotties today! =)

ev said...

Yes, Michelle, we are so grateful that you just torture the hell out of yourself to go and find these pictures. We realize that you must just be whipping yourself with a cat o nine tails just to have to force yourself you to look for them.

Love the red swim trunks, especially wet!!

Kati said...

Oh Rach! Let me know what you think of it! I'm headed there on the 12th to see the exhibit. Monet was just a genius! I'm thinking that I'll pick up a couple of prints to hang in my house too.

Michelle Buonfiglio said...

Monet, schmonet. What ever happened to some nice canines playing poker on velvet? Youz got no class.

ev, I wasn't sure about the red speedo shot, so I ran it past Dave. I was like,

"Is this a little too, um --"

"Vulgar?" he interjected.

"Well, lewd, I guess, for the blog, with Leslie's, em, burgeoning interest. I mean, I like to keep a certain modicum of decorum, and usually post pics that are interesting because of what's going on on the guy's face, maybe his upper body."

Silence. Raised eyebrow.

"You're right. I'll post it."

Michelle Buonfiglio said...

You're welcome, pj!

Michelle - I  your hubby! He totally gets it!

So Bellas, I just finished reading Jessica Inclan's "Reason to Believe." Has anyone else read it? It's a terrific story, extremely imaginative and such an interesting tack to take in a para. At the same time, I was struck by the amount of undefined french in the book. Now, I speak french so I didn't have any problem with it, but I wondered if anyone else did? I think she should think about putting a glossary in the book. A lot of phrases were pretty advanced, and certainly couldn't be figured out by their similarity to english. It was WAY more advanced than your usual Duke who speaks french and peppers his speech with phases like "ma petite." Did anyone else find that they had a hard time with it?

Don't get me wrong though, it's one of the more imaginitive paras I've read recently and the dynamics between the h/h and her family were fascinating.

ev said...

Michelle- I love a man who is secure in himself!!! Give him hugs for us- and more pics to approve of!!

Mk- so if I read the book, will you translate for me???

Kati said...

Ev - Oui! Bien sur!

Michelle Buonfiglio said...

Daccord, MaryKate! You know, I didn't realize that about "When You Believe," the first, and my French is perty pedestrian. But that's a great point. I'll be you could write her and ask about her decision not to put a glossary or define anything. Was any of it self-explanatory in context?

Anyway, remember she hung with us one day? Asked us what we wished we'd done that we hadn't, and what we'd done that we wish we hadn't? Did I get that right? Oh, merde.

Sure will, ev. But don't forget that this is the guy who pretty much forbade me to talk about Nathan Kamp after he was sick of hearing me talk about trying to get an interview with him.

Kati said...

Michelle - I believe I will write her! Oh, and dontcha know I had a blog idea last night, LOL! Perhaps I should start my own silly blog! 'Cept I have so much fun here!

Kati said...

Huh. She doesn't have a website. Bummer.

Michelle Buonfiglio said...

Yeah, she actually does, but I always forget the name, too. It's

And, please, feel free to give me any and all your blog ideas until you start your own. But please give me, like, three months notice when you do, cause I'll have to mourn your passing from here...

Kati said...

LOL! Don't you worry Bella, I'd never leave you, and I don't have enough interesting to say to have a blog! I'd rather just hang out here! I'll shoot you my idea via email.

Kati said...

'Kay, I sent her a note, I'll let you guys know if I hear anything. Thanks for the suggestion!

What ever happened to some nice canines playing poker on velvet?

Personally I like the Velvet Elvis paintings.

I like to keep a certain modicum of decorum

*snicker* Whatever you say, Queen Bella. Whatever you say.

Okay... I finished a book over lunch and now I need to dig through the old pile and find something else to read. I'm not in a mood to write (though I should be). What to read... what to read?

I'm so glad I opened this up at work. At the library.

Red speedo.

Gotta love Michelle.

Interesting blog at romancing the blog Michelle--I didn't comment, but read through the others.

Hope everyone's had lovely holidays.

Jessica Inclan rocks.

We just got back from seeing the new Rocky movie. I like boxing. Hubby doesn't.

I like Sly. He still looks good in a pair of boxing trunks.

Kati said...

Ames - This is after last night Michelle telling me that she trys to go for "tasteful" man shots. Just kidding, Michelle! LOL! But I know what you mean, I spent all day opening the commenting function and minimizing the blog itself cause of the hunks! SNORT!

Julie in Ohio said...

MK-- Did you see that Jessica Inclan answered your email in yesterdays blog comments below? I just saw it and didn't know if you noticed or not...

Kati said...

Thanks Jules! I get a little giddy everytime an author answers me back!

Julie in Ohio said...

Not a prob. Just wanted to make sure you saw it. :o)
When I get a response I feel like doing my Wayne and Garth imitation; "I'm not worthy".

Hey Bellas, you've all been lively the last several days, and I've enjoyed all the chatter. Marilyn, your granddaughter is just the cutest thing - I loved the picture where she's holding the hem of her dress, and the one where she's a chick - too precious!

Rach, I'm glad you're still on break and visiting with us - it's like old times :)

Amy! Missed you. Glad to see you making a rare but valuable appearance.

Ev, I heard this Rocky movie was more like the first one - would you agree? Sad about Adrian (in the movie). She's truly the heart of Rocky.

MK (aka book pimp), I am already in debt from your other recs, and I will happily go bankrupt if this book is up to par. Haven't read "Jacob" yet, but it's in my possession. Oh and btw, I bet you'd have a fun blog! You always come up with the coolest ideas. I think of you as our renaissance Bella *g*

Julie, what can I say - you always make me laugh, you're so darn funny! Hey, did you get "W,ML" yet? Mailed it Friday, and I almost kept it for myself just cuz it's a brand new copy, but the spirit of Santa (or is it Jesus?) showed me the way.

Right now I'm reading Janice Maynard's "Play with Me", and the first story has a fantasy about a princess and her "gardener". Having met Janice, it's difficult to imagine some of those dirty thoughts coming from her - guess it's one of the reasons I adore her so LOL.

Michelle, listen to Dave's "advice" about the speedos, because what he's really trying to say is "if you post him, they will come" ;)

If this blog was about decorum, my membership would have been revoked loooong ago. I say tasteful and decorum aren't as much fun as lewd and vulgar. I wouldn't know how to act.

MK & Jules, I get giddy when an author responds to me too. Heck, I get giddy when Queen Bella replies to one of my emails! It's like, yeah they're just regular people too, but then it's like "But she wrote "Over the Edge" - Sam, Stan, Jules! Oh my!

Julie in Ohio said...

You so silly, Stacy! You make me laugh, too. :o)
I haven't received "W,ML" yet but I'm keepin' my eyes open. Thanks again. I can't wait to read it...

Hey, Bellas! I had a really cool night. First, I went to a little partay with my old writing group. I don't see them too often anymore, but it was great cause one of the women was in visiting from Alaska.

One of us, Swati Kaushal, just had her second novel picked up by Penguin India. She's an unbelievably bright, elegant writer, and she's going to GuestBlog for us in January! You just have to meet her; I think you'll love her, too. She's already got an awesome, really fun blog planned, right up our alley.

Then, Dave and I went out for a little bite, part of my Christmas gift to him. I almost just shared TMI, but I erased it before anybody could get hurt...

So, I'll see youz tomorrow. MK came up w/ a good blog topic we'll do over the weekend. Should I be paying her or something?

Glad you liked the red speedo. It reminded me of a David Duchovny poem, a riff he did on a William Carlos Williams piece:

So much depends upon a red Speedo
Covered with rain.

(The original WCW:

so much depends
a red wheel

glazed with rain

beside the white

Buonanotte, Bellas mine!
