Week of Wet: H2O-key Dokey

Buon giorno, and welcome to the
First Annual Romance: By the Blog "Week of Wet."
All handsome men. All mostly damp and/or dripping.

For your viewing pleasure, I give you...

You're welcome.

Why do we like to look at em wet?

Encore! Yes, I'm really busy this week and came up with this fairly lame concept to make for ease of blogging.

Encore due! I can't promise you this won't become bi-annual.

Encore tre! Did you know that "Darcy and Elizabeth: Days and Nights at Pemberly," by Linda Berdoll is out? It's the sequel to the sequel of "Pride and Prejudice," "Mr Darcy Takes a Wife." I'm looking forward to starting it. From Sourcebooks.

I don't know about anyone else, but I like em wet because they look so vulnerable. Just look at Colin. He looks like he just lost his puppy or something. Don't you want to give him a hug?

(And yes, Julie, love to dress them girlies up. The four year old LOVES it, and then goes to the mud =).)

I love this scene in P&P! It's right after Mr. Darcy jumps in the pond, and then they meet; they are both so flustered. Very hot scene (at least as hot as it could get for those times).

I have to agree with Julie - they do look vulnerable. I think seeing a (good-looking guy) all wet is seeing a man almost baring his soul in a way. It's like they are saying "here I am, letting you see me this way, so take me as I am". Of course he could just have water in his eyes and can't really see...

Hi, guys. It's so weird that two blogs got posted today. sorry.

A hug is decidedly not what I want to give Mr Darcy in that scene, JulieO. :) But, do you remember, Stace, how big and awesome he looked in the scene after, when he rushed to get dressed to see Lizzy? He had on the doeskins, and the Hessians and he was just big and strapping. I never realized CF was big and strapping.

Yeah, I dig on the vulnerability thing, too. For me, too, there's a very sensual idea of my being wet also, and you know, moving up against him? since it's my fantasy, of course, my body is as fantastic as his. TMI with the sliding stuff?

Rach, my daughter loves comfort. Her favorite outfit is a Jacksonville Jags sweatshirt under my son's old overalls. So very pretty. But she's happy with it, so I'm not gonna give her a hard time, unless she keeps taking it out of the laundry to wear again. I was a total tomboy as a girl, which did not make my mom too happy.

Must. go. write.

Wet allows for greater definition of what is hiding behind the clothing. Wet also defines muscles that are exposed. Maybe that's what it is.

As for Colin, my husband insists that my infatuation is actually with his eyes...yeah, honey, sure. That's it ;-P.

Michelle, my oldest is a HUGE tomboy (as was I) but likes to look "bee-yoo-tee-ful" while carrying the toad around the back yard. Makes it very difficult to keep clothes clean.
