Big, Bad Band of Brothahs

I love J.R. Ward's incredibly intelligent writing and her awesome band of brothahs, the Black Dagger Brotherhood.

In honor of the release of "Lover Eternal," Ward's newest novel in the series, J.R. herself will guest blog right here at Romance: By the Blog.

How wicked cool is that?

So, tune in, and turn on, Tuesday, March 7th at 4.00 pm EST (on-your-watch time, not on-this-blog time). Rap with J.R. about her blog, her books, the Brotherhood, why Z is the sexiest bad-ass masochist bad boy in the history of romance (maybe the only one, but I'm not certain), or whatever.

J.R.'ll be here, so you be here, too. Please.

Encore! Have you checked out My Irrationalities? Do so, then come back and tell me what you think?

Oh Wow! Can't wait to hear from JR Ward, She is an awesome writer! Her bad ones are ones that can come see me anytime. lol

I haven't read J.R. Ward, but I've heard good things about her...guess the TBR pile is going to get even higher...

Checked out My Irrationalities and my first thought was "How does she have time to write romance if she has so many web pages?" Neat page though...

Manda, I can guarantee that once you start a JR Ward book, they won't be in the tbr for long. They will move right up there to the top! One of the best author finds I made last year. So thankful Teresa Medeiros recommended her to me.

I adore JR Ward! My copy of DARK LOVER got so tatty, I had to buy a new one. And she writes hot, hot, hot love scenes! I also adore her mythology, it's complete and different from most other paranormals.

She and Elizabeth Vaughn are my two best finds of 2005!

Yay! See you Monday!

Deb, I *thought* this was the author you said Teresa M. had recommended....

Just finished Julie Anne Long's Beauty and the Spy and it was SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOD!!! It's funny and sweet and sexy and adventurous and if you haven't read any of her books you are missing out. She is a breath of fresh air in the Regency Historical genre...

After checking out who is listed in your Old Flames archive, I begin to think, Michelle, that we have very similar taste...

I aslo have not read J.R. Ward--but I've been told to, so I will. I love paranormal stuff--I'll get right on it, so I'm up to speed for the guest blog.
Speaking of Julie Anne Long, I'm in the middle of The Runaway Duke, and I am loving it too.
Michelle, I went my irrationalities, and thought--I could get lost on this page--I love the gun pointed at the computer screen.

Thanks so much for spotlighting my blog. You're a sweetheart. I'm glad you like it and I hope to see you again. :-)

Easy. I'm on a schedule. :-) I only have one blog that I update with any regularity. The other is at Publisher's Marketplace and that's bi-monthly. Then there's my webpage, and I hardly ever go over there. LOL! In fact, I don't think I've updated it since last year. Something else to put on my to-do list.

Yeah, that was my idea. hehe. Ever since I saw Kurt Russell playing Elvis in that movie where he shot the TV, I've had this secret fantasy of doing the same thing, only to my monitor when I get writer's block.

Why do you think the blog is called My Irrationalities? :-D

MOringing, all! My daughter's home sick today, so I'm totally out of sorts.

I'm so glad you guys did JR like me. I agree that the mythology is complete. She has a glossary with ea book, which maybe is needed, not sure cause the mythos are easy to follow.

yeah! isn't BATS, as Julie Anne LOng calls, it great? Have you read To Love a Thief? I love the hero, he's so mixed up.

Man, my TBR pile is a mess. My house is a book sty. I have so got to get a handle. My husband last night suggested that maybe I shouldn't try to hold on to all the books I get sent. The Nerve!

Glad you dropped by, Tanya! On a schedule...what must that feel like?

Amanda: I love hearing that we have books in common. Isn't this forum, and Squawk Radio, etc., great? It's like getting to talk to girlfriends about romances all the time.

Hi girls! I just had to pop in real quick and say I'm so pleased and touched you're enjoying my books! I particularly love hearing about BATS, since it's my new baby—I'm always nervous about a new baby. :) It's officially out this week, so I'm crossing my fingers that readers enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. And just in case it helps, I Feng Shui'd my office, too. Hey! You never know! LOL.

I'll be doing a Q&A about BATS and anything else readers want to ask on my blog, Dishing with the Divas ( on Wednesday the 1st, and I'm also doing a chat that night at the Mystic Castle, in case anyone feels like stopping by. At the moment, I'm knee-deep in revisions for the second book in the trilogy, WAYS TO BE WICKED, and working on the third, THE SECRET TO SEDUCTION, too, so my schedule's a bit nutty. :)

I'm loving this blog! And Michelle practically *just* got it up and running, too. She's a dynamo. :)

Take care for now!...julie

Michelle, sorry your daughter is sick today. Hope she feels better soon! These blogs are totally like talking to girlfriends about romance novels all day! They are so addictive....I have read To Love a Thief and adored it too.

Thanks for the heads up about the chats and blogs, Julie. I'll make a note and try to stop in. I really can't imagine anyone who loves historical romance not loving BATS. It's that good:)

Hi Michelle,

Funny you should ask because I'm going to be blogging about this tomorrow. Anyway, I try to stay disciplined. I write full time, so once I get the kids off to school, I'm writing/plotting/researching from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Afterward, I do chores (dinner, cleaning etc) and THEN I get to play on the internet. I do most of my blog stuff after six p.m. Seven at the latest. But everything stops for American Idol and Lost. Once the shows go off, I'm back on the net, doing my thing.

Thanks, Amanda: She's feeling better, but how inconsiderate of her to get ill when I have so much to do!

Tanya: you make me tired just reading your schedule...

Bona Sera, Bellas!
