Wow...you put up Shinedown a little while back and now BSC! Funny...I saw both bands the weekend before I went to Northbrook to meet Colleen G.,...met you there as well! :) I've almost commented once or twice before...one was when you had re-read Lord of Scoundrels and Lover Awakened(I was re-reading at the same time as you), though I've only read LOS once...love it! I came back here today to read what Megan H. had to say...
I recall you mentioning your Hubby was worried about you listening to 'heavy metal...he's got nothing to fear...these bands might be closer to the 'hard rock' sound...but they're not metal!!! :)
Off topic...just a week and a half ago a good friend's husband received a kidney transplant after an almost four and a half year wait!!!

ooo, Orannia! A new computer? lucky girl. tell all! Just think how pretty all the pictures of the handsome young men will look on the new screen...

Hi, Kristin!!! So nice to hear from you and see you here! OMG, that's amazing news about your friend's husband! How is he feeling? That's such a long wait, but they must be so thrilled, especially if he's off dialysis. I'm so happy to hear the story. Your friend is probably feeling much more relaxed, but also still feeling like they're 'not quite out of the woods yet," which is kind of natural for a little while. Please let me know how things are going.

I can't believe you saw both bands just before we met! They remind me so much of one another; the singers have such powerful voices, both technically and emotionally. It's really exciting to hear how they meld 'message' with sound. does that make me sound totally old? ah, well...

So glad you liked LOS! And LA stil is my fave BDB. Maybe until we get John Matthew's story. Things may change then. :) I'm SO glad you commented today. Are you a big MH fan? She's so talented and such an iteresting person. Hope to hear from you again very soon!

Hi Michelle,
My friends' husband is feeling AMAZING!!! :) Believe it or not he wasn't on dialysis...but it was just around the corner had this donor not come foward. My friend has remained so stoic all this time...she has amazed me! Slowly but surely she is letting her guard down a little bit.

I don't think your comment on the music makes you sound old at all!!! It's totally cool that you enjoy it...what's great is that they not only have great music, but there's some substance to their lyrics also...doesn't make us old(I'm 41), it just means we've got good taste!!! :) Brent's voice(Shinedown) is amazing...and very emotive!

I've read two of Megan's books...Tempted & Dirty, and have two more waiting to be read(Broken & Stranger). Her books really pack some emotional punch...one of the reasons I like them so well!
I've read quite a bit more 'romance' since we met...historical seems to be a favorite...Scandal by Carolyn Jewel was the last one I read...loved it, too! :)
